Cvs were not an option elsewhere they were the norm!!
Only the UK , Austrailia ,.....and S. Africa apparently got slide everywhere else got CV ...so this is either an import , or a bitsa ....so not retorted rebuilt .

slide carbs were too 'dirty' to get through emissions laws in many countries, particularly the north american market, so their 1000's came with cv's the same as the 1100.
