Looking forward to it :)
I may have to copy you, if I can find the rest of the parts...

Using took the CBR600 kit:

We cut down the side arms to match the length of the existing bars.
Using the brackets in the kit we cut/twisted them to fit the existing frame fixing points
Cut the spacers of the existing givi kit brackets and welded them to the new brackets
Drilled 4 holes into the Givi Frame, welded collets I the holes to reinforce them
that basically was that...

The added bonus of using the spacers is the main arms of the rack stick out about 1/2inch making them perfect for grab rails

Still need to finish it, think I'll get it powder coated for a better finish (I'll post a picture when finished)

Thanks again Sam for the advice...

You've done a good job there.

Now I just need to find that box of bits and practise my welding :)

I went for a slightly different take on the subject.
Still using the same CBR600 rails but used as well as the standard rail.

Drill a couple of holes in the rail. 16mm one side for the threaded spacer and 10mm the other for the M8 bolt holding it in. The plan was to hold the threaded spacer in place with the rear bolt and then weld them... however, when I switched my welder on, it didn't want to spark :(
A quick spray with Plastikote to tidy them up.
