.......down to Chris (aka Katgeezer) today. Bike went well. Still got a knock coming from the chain I think. Maybe catching on something somewhere. Chris reckons chain is ok. Might be worth checking the wheel alignment as well.
Cheers for the cuppa Chris and sorry couldnt stay longer.

Sorry about the job mate.
The chain on ratty-pop (as it's now called) is no better than yours and runs quiet.
If it's rubbing/catching anything then you should see witness marks of some sort now you've done a few miles so you'll just have to inspect the chain run and see. Maybe whip the front sprocket cover off too and check there.
Kettles always on mate

Check the rear lower engine mounting bolt/ nut is not catching on the chain , if it has been there will be witness marks !

Will do Rob. Might whip the clutch cover off to see if anything is amiss.
Thanks

Isnt that on the other side of the engine.............dont you mean sprocket cover?
Which direction did you put your engine mounting bolts through your engine? I still think it may be the chain hitting on the lower engine mounting bolt nut, if you have the bolts going through the engine from the wrong side.
I know this because I had a similar problem on one of my bikes in the past! Before you take any casings off check the rear lower engine mounting bolt nut.
