Can any body help, my hi beam will not work, I've put 3 new bulbs in the hi beam light in the clocks works and I can hear a cliking coming from the ferring sounds like a selnod each time I go from low beam to hi beam.
could it be a wire or somthing more?
the bike is a gsx750s1 Kat I have cheked the fuses all ok and working.

Hi Wraith,

Just been studying my copy of the S1 wiring diagram. There's no relay in the lighting circuit (unless your's is modified) so you should be seeing 12 volts at the headlamp connector. Try with a multi-meter switched to DC volts between Yellow and Black/White wires on the headlamp connector. Or between Yellow and the frame (Ground)
If the Mainbeam lamp is lighting up in the speedo/tacho, then the feed/switching part of the circuit seems ok.

There is a join in the yellow wire, I can't remember if it is at a connector or buried in the loom, but I would make that a prime suspect for failure.

you need to check if you have voltage at the bulb. if low beam works, then your earth is ok, if the blue lamp on the clocks comes on then the switch is connecting, id suggest checking for a broken wire in the back of the lamp holder harness, though you might actually have a duff switch, theyre not the best quality even when new.

Cheers for that, I have low beam and the blue ligth in the clocks comes on when I swich from hi to low, so I will check the wires.
