Good luck Si,

if you like the other bikes you'll love the pop up, especially all the attention it'll bring whenever you park it at bike venues ;)

it was a good and bad day,
the bike went throught its mot with no problems :D , but on the way home it started to leak some oil from the head gasket on the r/h side,
the bike itself felt so different from the kwak turbo, lighter ,twitchy and always looking for another gear even at 50-60 mph.
what did impress me was the brakes, for a bike of this age they were very sharp on the front and far superior to the kwak.
going to take her out tonight for a little blip and see if i can settle into it, i did have cramp every time i got on her ,but it think thats just my age as i get it riding the 500 and r1.
i will let you know if things inprove after tonight.

Aah yes I forgot about that, the constant searching for another gear that isn't there.

Rearsets would help with the cramp as the pegs are set just that bit too far forward, this aside tho' I totally love my pop up & would NEVER sell it 8-)

been out again and things feel a bit better, i think i'm starting to used to it, my right boot will not rust due to the oil leak, my left is still worn out trying to find more gears (i'm sure someone must have a 9 speed gearbox in their shed).
it does seem the faster you ride it the better it feels ,but i only took it up to about 90,
i may have a play with the rear end and tyre pressures to see if can get it to be a bit more responsive, its early days and i don't think i will be getting my knee down ;)

The rear shock's probably knackered which won't help handling. i don't remember always having to search for another gear ? the last std one i rode was Katgeezers at the 1st wussykat, it felt fine and handled pretty good, it had a replacement shock on it, just needed a little setting up. On my big popup when i first had it as a 750 it handled really well but when pushing on hard it wallowed, i changed the swingarm for a JMC and it sorted it.

hey Paul, i've just sent you an email.
i remember riding my mates gsx750ef which is not alot different than the pop up, but this was many years ago when his bike was nearly new.
i think its just going to take a bit of time .
