Re: Manc'ee Kat 2026
On my way back home after a great weekend.
There were suspicions about the ability of Scruffy Kat to make enough elastictrickry to keep itself going.
However as the clutch cable decided that enough was enough and parked me up outside "The Peacock at Owler Bar" (I can think of a lot worse places to be.
Like down in the streets or down in the sewer.
Or even on the end of a skewer) until the breakdown folk turned up.
As their policy seems to be recover rather than repair. I got home in the front of an Iveco van .
Anyway....
With a number of other things going on, only last week did I get to have a proper look at Scruffy.
First check on the alternator showed coil resistance mostly the same value but coil insulation to ground near enough shorted
Testing the reg/rec showed half of the input diodes have gone pop as well.
So this is my entertainment for next week.....
Plus a going over for the MoT
