Hello from Hull
Hello from Hull
Hi all, I have finally got a Katana. 35 years after falling in love with them. But sadly I have to work on mine to get it on the road. Keep me busy during winter. It's a 650 shaft, japanese import. Price was right though. Looking forward to the challenges it brings to get it road worthy. Any help and advice will be greatfully received such as part stockists etc.
Thanx for the accept into the excusive club.

Re: Hello from Hull
Good point! There should be a whole bunch of Kat's heading past Hull on the way to EK10.
Me included, save using the A1 on the way up!

Re: Hello from Hull
Hully just seen the 650 in question on FB page & although I replied in another post ....
After looking at it , like most 40 yr old bikes it's a bitsa . Not really an issue but a few measurements of stuff to confirm is what's required
It's clearly 1983-4 model but obviously had a repaint ,the engine if it is a very late GD Model ( indeed rare here) then the engine has been replaced with either a GT or earlier G ..
Could even be as simply as later wheels are the replacement .

Re: Hello from Hull
Hiya, just seen this post. A lot of info there to take in. I honestly didn't expect so many different variations.
Hoping to get to Ripon of Friday.
