Charity bike

I note that the charity bike is now no longer going to be raffled off with everybody having a chance to win it, instead it's to be auctioned to the highest bidder thus letting only the rich benefit from it. Ah well, ho-hum, next time anybody suggests anything similar I expect they may get a less positive response to requests to help out. The appeal of this was that everybody had the chance to win it. Not any more. Deep pockets only now.

Flo/John were trying to get the raffle thing sorted long before John's death. MS society werent interested in helping so Suzuki GB said theyd assist. I know for a fact theyve been giving it theyre all to make this happen but for one reason or another there are too many hoops and red tape. I think everyone wanted it to be a raffle, especially those who were part of the process and had a vested interest in it. I agree it is a shame that only someone with deep pockets will get it, but the ultimate aimn was to raise £ for the MS society, which is what, ultimately, will happen.

Would be nice if Suzuki themselves ended up with it and it was part of their museum ah...

11k hammer price, £12.6k with buyers premium. tbh id have thought it would fetch closer to 20k.
