Help finding air pods

Post by Bikeazoid » Sun Aug 15, 2021 3:49 pm

Hi all, so while I'm working on my big Kat getting her ready for her Bandit 1200 motor, I wanted to add K&N individual air pods to the Bandit. I know they used to sell them all over, but now I can only find the two pods ones. Does anyone know where I can find these little guys?

I plan to put Mikuni's on later, but for my tinkering, I figure I would try these for now. I even called Whole Shot performance, but they said they don't carry those any more.

Are the OD of the carbs 60mm? If so Google "60mm k&n pod filters" or whatever size you need. Not sure if you will get K&N but there are some clone ones:

Our side of the pond:

Your side:

You'll have to decide if they will work for you.

Thanks Uncle Bob, I don't know, I was trying to google it, but I guess I can just measure it.

I have to say that you would be better using the dual pods with CV carbs as they go some way to dampening out the intake pulses that upsets the vacuum slides.

I got some cheep ones off the buy for my b12 powered gsx et as I couldn't give the twin pods to fit. I must say for cheep filters (about £6 each) they are working really well.
Not got a item number as it's on my old eBay account that I closed as eBay where being ****†* if you know what I mean.
I just put in the OD size of filter I was looking for.

It's faster to break than to repair.

thanks all, so 60mm was it, I got it off Amazon for 19 each, and they look great. I know this is a pix of my Bandit, but its going to the Creepy Kat soon.

Almost forgot, didn't post link to them, how rude of me, I blame my state, California, for being on fire and distracting me.
