Re: Eurokat 9
Hi all,
in case some of you are coming to France this summer (for EK9 or just holidays) here is some information about coming to France from foreign countries.
You will find the latest official information on your Embassy’s website : (here is the UK link but you should check the proper one for your country) : https://uk.ambafrance.org/COVID-19-rule ... and-the-UK
At the moment, coming from "Green zone" countries, you will need to show at the border :
- A negative PCR test, that is less than 72 hours old at the moment you cross the border, or a 2-shots vaccination proof ;
- A statement about your health status. You can find the document in French here : https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualite ... -de-voyage but I’ve made a version with an English translation on the same page, that I can send you if you ask gently ! I hope it will help you fill it easily !
At the moment, UK is not considered a “Green zone”, but as an “Amber zone” so, added to the procedure above, you are supposed to stay in a 7-days isolation on arrival in France, and then a 10-day isolation when back in UK. Not nice !!!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to help ! Cheers,
Alexandre

Re: Eurokat 9
Alright. I'm here. At the Eurokat. The only representive of the KOCUK. For obvious reasons.
Question: Can we please make up our minds whether the next eurokat is going to be organized by the Club? And which year? Next year to have back our usual turnus or in two years time and be (probably) rid of covid and shit on usual turnus?
And remember, if we cannot make up our minds in time: Pasi, the Finnish guy, is waiting to step forward...
Discussion please, and a definitive call, so that I might announce tomoz evening.
Cheers

Re: Eurokat 9
Mon ami Pierre ...Well I'm up for sorting the next one next year if it is to be back to cycle ...Alexandre may want to try again .....but he may well be just fed up with the situation.
Maybe the best option is to just ask everyone there where they want to go and we can sort it from there ...
Options ...UK ....NL ...D....F...and rank outsider FL..or maybe another country not on the list but we'd like to visit!
In the meantime have a good 'un ...the rules are changing just too late for us on both sides of the trench.

Let me know if you want me to announce that tomorrow evening. What about dates? Are we back to 3rd weekend in August by then?

Re: Eurokat 9
We've done England and Wales so the next would be jockland, although in representative terms we are lacking ....our jockenese chap lives in Spain ....so add ES to the possible list..
I would obviously source somewhere up at way ....in the Trossachs .....I scouted a venue a bit back.
In travel terms to the continentals owt ova the water is England anyway ...
If you want to come our way and August suits then let us know the dates you want ...at this point I don't think anyone cares too much .
So to recap. Argue amongst those there and in true KOC style volunteer those who are not able to say No!
If you want to come here we will sort no problem... " build it and they will come. Where ever it is !

Re: Eurokat 9
So this evening I will announce that the KOCUK will be organizing. In the past we mostly agreed on 3rd weekend in August, right? I suggest to go back to that schedule then.
