Ventura bike rack
Anyone got a set of these fitted? If so, any chance you could post a pic so I can see how they fit. I have Ventura kit on another bike so it would make sense if I fitted one to my Katana.

Re: Ventura bike rack
Hi Liam
Gratuitous posting of pics of EK8!
Not close up but you can get the idea. Fix to top of shock mounting and to the mounting point of the rear indicator/mudguard bracket. I think Skruffy Kat has something not quite aligned at the back end (probably the LH bracket) as although the rack/grab rail is supposed to come off and be swapped out easy enough, mine tended to be locked solid in place!

Re: Ventura bike rack
Do you need a set of Ventura arms , I have a choice ...1 we as a club got a batch unwelded from Dold engineering in NZ who make them, they supplied arms mountings front and back uncoated so we could weld them in positions for the different Kats .....so basically a set you weld in the positions you need .
£50 incl post ........or a set of arms I got with a kit I bought for the back pack.
These arms were home jury built and need stripping and repainting. I think we have enough front and rear brackets from the kits again just weld where you need . £15 incl post.

Re: Ventura bike rack
another option for luggage is bmw z frame luggage as fitted to the k series bikes, theres a bracket that as the name suggests is shaped like a Z and fixes to the bike and doesnt look too out of place. the panniers clip onto the frame and are made by krauser so good quality...

Re: Ventura bike rack
If anyone wants a pair of these panniers then give me a shout. I have a spare set that I am happy to give away (a few beer tokens would be accepted). Condition is reasonable. Collection only from near Guildford.johnr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 11:20 pmanother option for luggage is bmw z frame luggage as fitted to the k series bikes, theres a bracket that as the name suggests is shaped like a Z and fixes to the bike and doesnt look too out of place. the panniers clip onto the frame and are made by krauser so good quality...
It is the panniers only: I don't have the Z bars.
They are unlocked, and I don't have keys for them, although a key from my other set works in one lock so I can give you that key's number.
