Fossie, I tried to out run the fuzz on a Vision with my best pal on the back. I did start to loose the cars, but once the KZ1000 police bikes showed up, it was over.

The only other V twin I owned was a super duke, I didn't like that either.

It's faster to break than to repair.

Blix, i was a dispatch rider (courier) here in 1989 to 1990, I had a 1989 CB 750F (twin cam) until the oil drain plug fell out in LA on the freeway and it threw a rod. I called the dispatch lady and told her my engine froze, she said "well how long until it thaws out?". I kid you not. They sent another rider to gather what I was dispatching, but left me in LA to fend for myself.

Been watching repeats (re-runs) of the 70's tv cop show CHiPs during lock down, Jon and Ponch the main characters ride Kawasaki KZ1000 police bikes, all they seem to do is chat up girls half their age and play volleyball with disfunctional kids

How to tell a dispatch rider......

Actually admits to owning a CX500
I had a Plastic Maggot when I was a skint student back it the ‘80s!

But in fairness it was an ex Larndarrn DR bike that had been introduced to the drivers door of a Fiat 127

Replacement front end from the breakers in Huddersfield and it was good to go again. Had a top box on it the size of a small house!

Box was covered in “Arrow Express” stickers. Was a great bike for commuting/thrashing/neglecting maintenance.
Threw it down the North Walsham bypass one day in the rain and eventually sold it for as much as I paid for it. Which TBH was not a lot

I am replacing the rear wheel and sprocket carrier bearings. I took out the old bearings, then degreased and washed the wheel. It needed drying before fitting the new bearings. Where better to dry it than keeping it overnight in the living room next to the wood burner.

I have a very tolerant and understanding wife!

Warning: Bad taste time.

Three up on my flying brick. Me, my wife and my mother's ashes!

The old bat was a total lunatic driving her car, so when time came to collect her ashes from the crematorium, we brought her back home on the bike. Had a couple of blasts up the A3 at a speed I'm not going to mention on a public forum, to give her one last high speed trip as a fitting send off.

Her ashes were then spread in the garden of her home. It's fortunate that the urn's lid was tightly screwed on, otherwise there might not have been much left to spread after the speed we were going!
