Re: Get yer pics oot for the lads!
And finally for the moment, until I unearth some more photos of Mrs GSF34058's step through scooters, me at JoG. No excuse for not knowing the date of this photo.
Short days and freezing cold that year. I decided not to ride in the dark so:
Day 1, Hemel Hempstead to Berwick upon Tweed.
Day 2, BuT to JoG.
Day 3, JoG to ?
Day 4, ? To HH.
Edited to add that journey is about 1,300 miles according to Mr Google, who did not exist in those days. He reckons it is almost 24 hours there and back, so 6 hours riding a day. That sounds about right from what I remember. Checking an on-line daylight database for 18th Nov. 1987 I found that the sun rose at 8am and went to bed at 4pm. 8 hours daylight. 18th Nov. 1987 was also the day of the Kings Cross fire.

Nothing screams poor workmanship quite like wrinkles in your duct tape.

Re: Get yer pics oot for the lads!
Found this photo that I took at the start of the Pioneer Run at Epsom racecourse. I think I got there on the pillion of the Katana when my brother still owned it, so pre 1984.
I think it is in the same class as johnr's sidecars.
The bike is not on the DVLA database.

I hope the sidecar has been saved and attached to something else. I think it's priceless! I love the twirly window vent, and the curtains that you can just make out through the windows.Blix wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:11 pmI’m sure that was at NABD 2 year agoGSF34058 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 4:17 pmFound this photo that I took at the start of the Pioneer Run at Epsom racecourse.
