Re: Engineering marvel oooor.....
I find it a strangely attractive proposition.
A Kat nose fairing and some tidying up would make it a nice usable road bike.
The mono shock conversion looks to be nicely done and shaft drive is the icing on the cake.
On my watch list.

Re: Engineering marvel oooor.....
I was drawn to the monoshock engineering , as I've never seen or heard of a 650 being done. Not sure about back end ....front fairing cheap and nasty but easily altered...
What's it worth is an unknown quantity as its a 1 off....but real world bidding structure can make a reality for someone

I have a price in mind but I doubt it will be enough to win the auction.

I actually like the way the tail section goes with the tank. I think it's an FZ600.

Re: Engineering marvel oooor.....
im not sure about the structural strength of that monoshock conversion. first off its using a cantilever shock, so no linkages, just direct compression of the shock by the swingarm and frame. but more than that, the stock shocks are designed to hang onto the bevel drive and near the end of the other side arm, to move the pivot point forwards onto the steel arm puts stresses onto the bevel drive mounting bolts that they werent designed to carry, same with the other side of the arm, youve now got a bending stress on the swingarm that it wasnt designed to have, the rear section of the right side arm is particularly vulnerable to stresses in my view. the bevel drive bolts are designed to cope with the twisting stress of the shaft drive and some lateral movement of the arm, but this version has the entir weight of the bike plus the stresses of the suspension acting in a sideways motion against the bevel drive mounting studs of which there are only 3. it looks nice enough, but id not trust that setup myself.
