i got this on a whim, for 300 quid, it leaked oil like a sieve but ran fine, turned out it was on of hondas original press fleet bikes from when the bikes were introduced to the uk. dave silver said it was, according to the chassis number, only the 7th one built. of course, back then nobody wanted to buy this sort of thing and i let it go for 500 quid.

only true barn find i ever had. i pulled this out of an actual barn years ago and planned to use the running gear and engine on a kat, of course, that never actually went to plan and i swapped the engine for a tuned kat 1000 engine, but i later bought a kat from a guy and it turned out that not only was it the kat 1000 that i already had the engine for, but it also had been fitted with the gsxr engine out of this bike that i swapped. so ultimately i ended up with the engine rebuilt as well as a kat 1000!

jimmy took this pic iirc. this was at the german eurokat in 06, moments later i remembered that i still had 800 miles to ride home on that tyre........

beemer i got to take to the manx gp, bought it for 600 quid, took it to the island, thrashed it round for two weeks, numerous laps, never broke down, nothing fll off and absolutely bog stock down to the exhaust, brought it home, sold it for 750, iirc the only real profit ive ever made on a bike !!

ok, this is weird. its a cb1100 isnt it?????? nope, its a gsx1100 with cb1100 bodywork on it, i bought it as a non runner, fitted carbs and it ran brilliantly, there was a small nico bakker plaque on the headstock but it was otherwise stock. and it was quick too, not blistering, but smooth and faster than my kat. why it was built ive no idea, but it was an oddball and once i got it running i lost interest.

this is sues little gs125, we got it from a guy who bought it for his son to go to work on, he spent a load of cash on it and then his son said he didnt want it. so we got it for what seems to be the default bike price of 350 quid. tin or two of nissan rattlecan silver paint and a kat badge or two, looks better.

as an aside from the two wheeled projects, and as though i dont have enough on my plate, this is another slow burning project, its a 1969 bmc ambulance that im converting to a campervan.

years and years ago i ran a local mag group, and we ran some small rallys in lancs, every year we would build one of these mini bikes out of a step thru scooter, and then raffle it off for mag funds. made bloody hundreeds of pounds on the raffle every time. great fun. clealy from my slender figure, this was some time ago! probably early 1990's

and i forgot that id even owned this, sr500 chop, from my 'hardtail chops are the future' phase. no wonder my backs fucked.

this is sue on our old gs1000 sidecar outfit, somewhere in central france, sometime in the mid 1990's had some great holidays on outfits back then. just going to france and getting lost in the countryside.
