Rare? Yep this one will be .!

Post by fossie » Wed Jun 03, 2020 7:28 pm

We all know that 1000s are rare ..so rare that this very evening on the bay of evil there are 3 :o
We al know that yank thous can be discounted from the rare register due to the CV carbs .
All of these 3 have "slide carbs " asking prices are about £10 grand ... :o

But 1 is £11&half grand "it says it's very rare ....well it will be it has yank switchgear with no light switch.....it has 85mph yank clocks , a silver tail piece ......AND "Slidecarbs"
Advert says would suggest a full commission as it has been stood in a collection ......No recommission because it'll run like a dog the timing etc will be for a yank thing and someone has shoved "slides on "

But us Yankie's 1000's are still rare, we maybe the red headed step child, but there are still an extremely low numbers count.

I was told 800 total world wide. Come to think of it, did they make the 1100 in 82? [image][/image][album][image][/image][/album]

I finally figured out how to attach a pix!!!! And I've been trying for a long time. I'm going to go celebrate by doing some looting.

Is that because there is no looting on your island? Or you can't joke about things that are touchy due to the culture?

My mouth gets me in trouble allot here in the states, not that I'm fowl or rude, I just don't think anything is off the table. That is one of the reasons my mother in law doesn't talk to me.

Thanks for making me feel welcome, I appreciate that. I didn't know if there was side banter like, "how are we going to kick off this Californian" :)

We tend do looting in big gangs after dark and after a dodgy reason ....it normally takes place in 5 year cycles and lasts until all the trainers have been stolen from shops....and it generally a nationwide event.

You are more than welcome on board here as we like to keep a pet colonial

As for only 800 thous....it is can't be verified .....but again the US 1000 is rarer than the 1100 which was available in '82 ...but still doesn't command the interest of the U.K. 1000. and the calafornian 1000 command less again because of the sleeved exhausts for emissions and 85 mph clocks.( unless that was another state rules.)

Thanks, so was the 800 world wide or did the U.S. get 800 1000's.

It's good I don't have the more desirable of the Kat's since I'm going to (as someone else said here) "remodel" it.

In CA we called the non CA bikes 49 staters. if you could get 49 stater carbs or cams, you were extra cool.
