Nice 1100 Germany

Post by Uncle Bob » Wed Jan 22, 2020 12:33 pm

This looks nice for the money...

Works out at about £3.5k plus shipping and registration. Given how tough the German TUV is then it's probably good.
Seen others sell German unregistered on Ebay go for about £7k.

Oh, that could make it slightly harder then! Cheers for pointing that out - I should have Google Translated it, but why bother when you have PeddaTranslate :-)

Yeah, my German is even almost as good as Fossie's, I've been made believe.

Hi Pedda,
I am interested in the Katana listed in Germany. Uncle Bob suggested that I contact you to ask if you can assist me to make contact. I have tried contacting the seller myself but understand there may be some reluctance by the seller because I am a UK buyer and they are aware of being scammed!
If you could help me I would greatly appreciate that.
Regards
Mac13

OK, so as the seller says, it’s an American market bike.

So has the CV carbs instead of the VM32 round slides. No fins under the fairing. Side reflectors. Rear light extended to the rear of the machine. And the utterly hilarious 80mph speedo (which as you could only appear to do 80mph; you did not try to go any faster   )

Low miles and looks in good condition. Air box/filter has been replaced with pod filters, so could be a bit fluffy carburation. And it has the 80’s icon Harris pipe....

9.5K is way up at the top end of the price range so I’d want something a bit more UK orientated for that money, like a 140mph speedo and the VM’s.

Nothing wrong with going and having a look and talking to the seller to see if he would move on the price though.
