Something not quite right!

Ok so the mag mopus are indeed very unworn ...(.and by now unusable), but why has the naff graphics been added, where are the katana sword emblems , why is the back end silver. Obviously had some cosmetic work, which detracts somewhat from the only done 46 miles travelled in the 36 years.
Other than that tidy enough . Wonder what he thinks it is worth?

Yeah that is interesting but also agree on bits you pointed out (mirrors as well?). Wonder if some bits are replacement bits as original got damaged. Even with that it does look good and also interested in the end price, I daren't buy anything else at the moment though.

I note it's at Broadstairs in Kent - Kent home of the bikes with "interesting history and provenance" - Mick Grant Katana anyone!? I what's this ones story.

Wear and tear on the front edge of the seat looks odd for 46 miles!

I was literally about to post about that!

MOT check suggests that it had done only 41 miles at last test. With no previous. So maybe bought ridden from the showroom and then parked? But doesn’t explain the wear and tear or the (frankly) NAFF side panels.

And there's more than 46 miles worth of stone chips on the calipers. Does anyone put tape on the plug leads for no reason?

The more you look the more it don't add up ....registered in Manchester , so with so few miles and stored you'd except the original plate ....which would read Queens Park motors on the bottom.
Unless it was an import , then early 90's age related plates up here were given Manchester town recognition letters (NF in this case.)
Also the plug caps are replacement NGK brown ones and wrong they are all long the outer space should be shorter .....perdantic but in 46miles what could have gone wrong when the tyres aren't even dirty...
I'm opting for new clocks fitted in the past ...paperwork mislaid , new keeper probably un aware.. ;)

Reached £2000 and I think the reserve may have been attained ...if so quite realistic :o

i supposethe only way to tell would be to see the keys and see if they were worn, check the locks out, see how the suspension feels. im guessing its been sat in a shed and has had scuffed paint, which he may have repaired to sell it. perhaps its not got the original seat, who knows whats gone on in storage, whats been left on the seat etc etc,
