PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH KAT OWNERS guys

Email to Katana owners, modified kats welcome

We’ve had a number of responses and registrations for the VIP event on the website which is great, but there are approx. 20 people from the list you sent us who have not responded. We don’t want people to miss out, and time is now of the essence, so I wondered if you might be able to send all your Katana owners contacts the below email?

VIP KATANA EVENT INVITATION FROM SUZUKI

As you’re aware, the new KATANA was announced and unveiled towards the end of 2018 and in the last few months Suzuki has been undertaking a number of events and activities to launch this evolution of an icon, as it arrives ready for sale in the UK from the end of May.

As owners of the original KATANA, Suzuki would like to invite us to an exclusive VIP event, solely for owners of original KATANAs.

When?          Thursday 22 May. Arrival and registration from 3.30pm with the main event 4.00 - 7.00pm
Where?         Suzuki GB, Steinbeck Crescent, Milton Keynes, MK4 4AE

Suzuki would love us to take our bikes and during the evening there will be the opportunity to:

view a showcase of all the fantastic original KATANAs that we bring, in one place

be one of the first to test ride the new KATANA

attend a short presentation about this exciting new model in the Suzuki line up

take part in a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the Suzuki GB HQ to include offices, workshops and distribution centre

meet the Suzuki management and ask any questions we may have

attend an informal awards presented for the best bikes on show

They’ll also ensure we don’t go thirsty and hungry, with refreshments and light bites provided during the evening.

RSVP
If you would like to attend, please visit the following link to the Suzuki websitehttps://bikes.suzuki.co.uk/katana-owners/ and complete the online form, by the end of Wednesday 15 May.

With kind regards

This is my invite.

Thank you for registering your details with Suzuki and your interest in attending the KATANA owners’ VIP event.

This exclusive event is solely for owners of an original KATANA, as part of the launch plans and in celebration of the arrival of the new Suzuki KATANA, some 40 years on from the birth of the original and iconic machine.

We hope you will be able to join us and to help you understand more about the event, we’re pleased to provide the following details.

When?

Wednesday 22 May

Arrival and registration from 3.30pm with the main event 4.00 - 7.00pm

Where?

Suzuki GB, Steinbeck Crescent, Milton Keynes, MK4 4AE

What’s the plan?

We would love to host you and your original KATANA motorbike, where there will be the opportunity for you to:

view a showcase of all the fantastic original KATANAs in attendance and chat with fellow owners
attend a short presentation about this exciting new model in the Suzuki line up
be one of the first to test ride the new KATANA
take part in a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of Suzuki GB HQ to include offices, workshops and distribution centre
meet the Suzuki Motorcycles management team and ask any questions you may have
be part of an informal awards nominations and ceremony, presented for the best bikes on show
be fed and watered

On Arrival

The postcode above is accurate for the main entrance of Suzuki GB (although please be aware there is also a ‘rear entrance’ to the building on Steinbeck Crescent too), where you will need to stop at the barrier and buzz for security to enter.

Once through the barrier there will be signage (and a helpful human) directing you to the appropriate parking, depending on whether you are riding your Katana, towing it or coming with it in a van.

Once parked up, please make your way to the main reception and sign in. During sign in you will be asked to sign a form if you are wanting to test ride the new KATANA, undergo licence checks and also be allocated into a group, as the evening’s activities will be in group rotation. Refreshments will also be available on arrival.

Dress Code

The dress code for the event is casual.

If you plan to test ride the new KATANA however, and are not riding to the event on your own original KATANA, you will need to change into your riding gear during the evening. In this case and to ease space, please can you leave your riding kit in your vehicle until you need to get changed ready for your test ride. There will be a (communal) changing area available.

There will be a reasonable amount of walking and stairs during the tour so please wear sensible and comfortable footwear.

Test Rides

In order to test ride the new KATANA on the evening, please indicate your wish to do so on the attached form. You will need to bring your valid photocard driving licence and national insurance number to the event, to enable us to run a DVLA licence check for points, endorsements and/or disqualifications. You must also wear a full-face motorcycle helmet, armoured motorcycle jacket, armoured motorcycle trousers, protective motorcycle gloves and footwear. All of these elements are requirements for taking part in the test ride activity. If you are unable to fulfil all of the above, or have more than 6 points on your licence, unfortunately you will not be able to test ride the new KATANA during this event.

Tour

During the evening, you will have the opportunity to see behind the scenes at Suzuki GB’s HQ, to include the workshops, offices and distribution centre. There will be a reasonable amount of walking, including stairs. Should you have any special requirements to assist your participation in this activity, please advise on the form attached.

RSVP

To confirm your attendance and secure your place, please complete and return the form attached to 2wmarketing@suzuki.co.uk by Sunday 19 May.

Should you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact Aaron James on 01908 336125 or 2wmarketing@suzuki.co.uk.

Final event details will be sent early next week to all guests who confirm their attendance by submitting the attached form, and we very much look forward to hopefully welcoming you, and your original KATANA, to this special event.

With kind regards

Fiona

I've got mine now as well. Would I get sent back home early if I turned up on the 400? Would they notice (a lot don't)?

Good morning
Received the following from Suzuki

We’re just 2 days away from the KATANA VIP event and we’ve not heard back from you with your RSVP – and don’t want you to miss out!

We hope you received the below email last Thursday and it didn’t get diverted into your email junk folder as it was from 2wmarketing@suzuki.co.uk.

Although the deadline to RSVP was last night, via completing and returning the attached form, we’d really appreciate if you could RSVP by this evening to ensure you don’t miss out, enable us to confirm final numbers, ensure any requirement you may have are accommodated and send out final details tomorrow to all confirmed guests.

We look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully meeting you at the event.

Just had a call from Suzuki....apparently due to lack of people attending, they've cancelled tomorrow's event!!
Think he said only 9 finally responded...so that's me and eight others.
Shame, was looking forward to it.

Same here, just had the call. I was looking forward to it as well; looking at some Kats and seeing some of the people on here and FB in person!
Can't say I blame them with those numbers.

I sent my apologies due to being in the middle of the North Sea.

But I did not get the first email just the 2nd one.

If they re-arrange hopefully I'll not be at work
