Hi all,
hope you're all OK since it's been a while since I last visited the forum (sorry).
I've been contacted by the owner of this Kat : http://www.bikeexif.com/katana-motorcycle who is now looking for an original Pop-Up 750.
He saw this one on eBay : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1983-SUZUKI- ... Sw5apcZWSi which seems complete enough if a bit overpriced in my opinion (all the plastics need repair hence a full respray is due) but it seems he can't get much information from the seller located in Doncaster.
Does anybody know this bike ? It has a Brit numberplate so possibly been around for a while... ?
Or would someone around Doncaster be happy to have a look at it in the flesh to confirm it's a good one ?
Then we could add another Pop-Up to the French fleet.
I think there are still less than 4 of us in France, though
Cheers,
Alexandre

Re: GSX750S3 Pop-Up
IT has never been a club bike ..but it has been on sale for a few years , the reason would be the fact it is £2000+ over priced.
How much work is the new owner wishing to do? We may have a solution .
Now this one it has got be worth contacting him and pointing out the Motad exhaust reduces the price , does the headlamp actual work correctly as all the photos are up and see where that gets you , as he has had it forever''
We are busy at the moment with club meets and visiting the French 650! We will see if we can get a visitor to it.

Re: GSX750S3 Pop-Up
Hmm, it just seemed like the nicest one on fleaBay right now.
Pretty complete, and easier to import than the Canadian one.
The silver-framed S4 is missing too many parts.
The French guy is not afraid to restore the bike properly and put some money into it, but I will always advocate for as complete a bike as possible : it's too difficult to find the parts nowadays!
The exhaust is not really a problem, I have the L&R ones in stock!
I could not see a bike for sale in the club right now, but if someone is willing to part with theirs, they might have a buyer !
Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who would have a look at the bike.

Re: GSX750S3 Pop-Up
Found this one on Gumtree:
https://www.gumtree.com/p/suzuki-motorb ... 1326180105
Still over priced, but remember you bid downwards from that price!
Both of them look to be in the type of condition that would be £2k bikes, not £4k ones, but dealers seem to be happy to sit on them at the moment.
I was talking to a guy I know with a shop yesterday (deals in Italian mainly, but works on anything, he was fitting a tyre for me) and he says he thinks prices have gone down, he's paying less for bikes now then this time last year.
