Sourcing a Suzuki GS 650 GZ Katana Exhaust
Hi,
The Motad exhaust on my Suzuki GS 650 GZ Katana is looking a bit scruffy and I was looking for a replacement for when it eventually rusts through and wears out.
However, a quick Google search turned up nothing. Apparently Motad ceased trading last year (2017) and Suzuki no longer make the original exhaust.
Has anyone got any leads or ideas to source a replacement exhaust of any make?
Thanks in advance.

There is only 1 decent replacement if you are going down the 4-1 route. Jama ( Marshall deep tone)
Part number 56 200608
Good fit , decent quality and no jetting.
As for original ....you could get down pipes from a GT or GL model and then fit the replacement silencers that wrmoto amongst others do for the 750/1100' katana. And alter mounting bracket a touch

Thanks Fossie.
I guess my searching skills can't be very good, since I didn't turn up anything on Google for the 'Jama Marshall'.
Do you have a link where the 'Jama Marshall' can be bought, preferably in the UK?
Thanks in advance.

If you put in Jama exhaust in to search engine you will be directed to their site , it's Dutch . Comes up as ( Lasarexhausts.com). Go to catalog which is 38 page PDF Scroll down to Suzuki gs 650 katana.
Marshall deep tone is a range they do.
I have had these zorsts on both 650 and pop up , leaves access to oil filter and centre stand , sound good too. I'm not certain of uk stockist. But the last one I got straight from them in a few days.
There is always the Harris collection option which are not Harris anymore but use their tooling , looks the part but access to oil filter and stand is less than limited!

Re: Sourcing a Suzuki GS 650 GZ Katana Exhaust
Hi Fossie,
http://laserexhausts.com doesn't list the Katana anymore, so I guess they have stopped making them?
I tried emailing them and phoning them via the contact info on their web page but got no reply.
I will try a few UK Suzuki parts dealers. Maybe they have some old stock.
It's not an immediate requirement but would be nice to have one in reserve, should the need arise..
PS Does the Katana 550 share the same exhaust? Would make sourcing the part easier.

No 550 is different.
Odd that as when I checked the 650 was listed, it seems to be a cloggie thing to not reply to emails , their club don't either.
