Your absolutely spot on Blix, I just fancy a “modern” bike and the new Kat might just be the one? if not I’m gonna get either a Busa or a Vmax. Yes I know the max ain’t modern but I like em. As for people talking about your bike I know what you mean but I generally sit back and earwig what they’re saying. There are some very knowledgable “experts” out there

Did post separately in another thread but here's a picture a mate sent me from the show:
New Suzuki Katana 021018.jpg
A few videos going around as well. Like the original (though not sure why as it looks fantastic still after 35 years!), it'll split opinion I guess.
So it is based on the concept from last year which was based itself on a GSX-S1000 with the reworked GSX-R1000 K5 engine.
https://bikes.suzuki.co.uk/news/suzuki- ... -intermot/

I like they went with a rectangular headlight, but not entirely sure on that fairing from the front view as yet until see it for real. Luggage space for a EuroKat will be a bit tricky! Handlebars, although obviously a major change from the original clip-ons will appeal to the older riders that will probably buy it. From what I have seen though , it looks tall, like you are perched on top of it, rather than the in it of the original, though that might just be the angles the photos have been take at. It'll be at the November Bike show at the NEC, so maybe I'll get a long to take a look.

They are certainly getting a lot of coverage for it and hence raising the profile of all Kats I guess, which must be a good thing.

How disappointing after the hype it is just what we thought , the design that was put out there years ago.
Where's this all new concept and class :?

I can see the lines of the proper Kat and at least this ain't a teapot or scooter.....Suzuki did shoot themselves in the foot by over using the name so this hasn't got the impact it should.

For me looks quite nice , like the clocks , but engine management light and ABS .....No way I will part scheckles in the quantity they will be asking.

As for including in our club......now there's a debate ;)

I'm very disappointed with it :? the handlebars are awful, the zorst is the usual ugly cat dustbin lash up and you can bet the motor won't be the full fat gixer 1000 it will be "tuned for more midrange" I think I'll keep my real Kat

Summat else I don’t like is the stupid BMW traily style rear mudguard/number plate holder.
I think Suzuki have missed a real opportunity with this bike.
