Yoshimura replica carb heat shields

Post by johnr » Thu Jun 21, 2018 10:14 pm

anyone who remembers the old yoshi racebikes of the 70's and 80's might recall the heatshields fitted to isolate the carbs from the heat of the engine and thus help keep them running sweet without the woolyness of overheating carbs. they also look pretty trick which always helps. anyhow, a mate of mine is making replicas of the heatshields if anyone wants one. theyre 35 quid plus post, and you can get them from yoshijohnny over on oldskool, or contact me and i will put you in touch.

he does them for the gsx engine as well as the gsx, doesnt matter what carbs you use because it goes over the inlet stubs rather than the carbs themselves. the one shown is for a kat/gsx, ive just got one for my gsxr engined kat.
