There rubbish them Jap bikes lad they won't last five minutes! you want to get yourself a nice Royal Enfield!

hmmm, nah, i think that its about what its worth, its nice enough and its got plenty of spares, but its still a 30 odd year old non running 550 gs, the kat version was actually slower than the gs version, and whilst its in good order, i wouldnt want to pay more than 5-6 hundred quid for it, the 650 is an infinitely better bike in almost every way.

I'd have agree with Johnr , don't know why but the 550 Kat looks dated when alongside the 650 with which it shares the lines.......but only the tank!
Rare it maybe ....though I don't believe so. But rare because nobody treated them well back in the day .
It's a £500 bike that makes a useful day to day runner , workhorse , but as an investment .....our survey says.......***** :roll:

It sold for £722. That's £722 for a non runner, that has been a project and then moved on :shock:

It was granted one of the best presented projects, and it will be nice to see the finished machine on the road :lol: !
