Looks like the back of a set of Katana clocks to me m8...................sorry cant help m8!

It may be to do with some Japanese market 55mph speed warning light that is no longer in use!

Why do you ask Mick?

Are all the lights and warning lamps working?

If so......................... put it all back together and sort your carbs out.................!

Don't panick mr blix , You'll find it is for the speed indicator warning lamp that was fitted to the side of the clocks, so the japs knew they were bad lads and exceeding 80 km/h (50mp/h.

yes the red light was an add on , I'm on the S2 this weekend so you'll see it .

Just for reference , the light comes on at 81 km/h . which is 50 mp/h which is the jap limit and the area coloured red on the speedo.

the yanks are 55 mp/h. I ask you 55! not 50 or 60.
Jmac had a pan euro 1100 yank import and the speedo was graded 0- 5-15-25-35-45-55-65-75-85. and no more . It was bizarre trying to work out the speeds.

But seeing as your speedo cable isn't connected in this picture it doesn't matter what speed you do ;)
