Ignition timing mark, 1100 Kat

Ignition timing mark, 1100 Kat

In the manual I have, it refers to a "T" mark on the ignition timing rotor, mine does not have that style of rotor, it just has a piece sticking out from the shaft that the pickups detect. Is this normal for the 1100 Katana, and do you still set it to the mid point on the left hand pickup for setting the valve timing?

Your ignition advancer should look like this:

You can see the relevant marks on it, includet the T.

You also should find this part:

You see the mark at the top? This is where the T of the advancer should refer to.
