Grab Rail for Pop up

Post by payton6uk » Thu Mar 05, 2015 4:36 pm

Does anyone know if there is a grab rail for the Pop up or even a luggage rack?

I once had a Krauser rack fitted using their universal fitting kit, as shown in my avatar, but that was in the early 90's.
If I remember correctly, the rail that runs along under the rear sub frame had a couple of holes drilled in it for the bolts.

Got me thinking now... I have rails for a Givi rack for an old CBR600. I'll see if I can dig them out and see how far off they'd be.

Thanks, I thought there might be a way of adding one under the seat, there's 2 bolts holding the back panel to the frame that might be used.

They are spaced about 150mm centre to centre.

My son wants to on the back.... but does want to be seen hugging his old man! :D

There is a rail at the back on both sides.

the CBR600 rail is completely straight so would be a good fit along with the under seat rails. Would need to lose 7 or 8 inches off the front and then a couple of holes, spacers 1 to 2 inches, and some long bolts and it should fit.

Got no lights in my garage so can't take an actual pic to show position.

Pleanty of hardware with it too -

That one's on ebay and ends tomorrow - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Cbr600- ... 1793627318

However, that would take you down the path of top box rather than just a grab handle.

Ventura do a grab rail system that unscrews to fit a rack. Look under GSX750?SE in catalogue through moto haus.

The side rails are specific the grab rail and the rack are off god shelf.

We have a few rails here un welded and a few members have copied the original , depends on abilities or mates.

Thanks guys, looks like the CBR one could be a nice fit. A top box might help him feel more safe too.

Also probably fits with my abilities as well.....

I'll have punt on that ebay one especially if I can get it for less than £50... thanks again
