Re: Recession? What recession ;)
Good on you for giving it a try, I don't see how you can juggle the kids plus holidays with an full time job, it won't be long before the friend who takes your youngest to school can't do it then your in trouble, you'll be burnt out in no time, the kids will suffer, you'll be stressed etc etc. we struggle with work and 2 kids !
If the job was 9-2.30 you'd stand a chance but then the money would be even worse and still probs with school holidays. Hold out for a TA job, chase up the one you applied for (someone mentioned on FB yesterday) it doesn't hurt to remind them your there and available..

Cheers guys. Its nice that people take the time to think about someones circumstances. Thanks.
It is tough and TBH I have been struggling with things anyway
Being a feckless unemployed single parent isnt all its cracked up to be and sometimes it just gets too much for me and I ............well just flip out. Not good for the kids or for me
I think i will try for the rest of the week and soldier on. Just to repay the guy for giving me a chance at it. Dont want to let him down with just one days work.
Working in a school is exactly what ticks all the boxes Malc. Am hoping SOMETHING will come up. Trouble is I need to be applying for stuff every day and that aint going to happen if i am working full time. I cant really do it in the evening and interviews are tricky for the evening as well.
I try really hard not to put obstacles in the way. But somethings are just THERE and I cant do much about them .I think being single is the biggest problem. Someone else in the house makes all the difference and opens up more options. Not really looking for anyone either if truth be known. Kinda failed miserably at that sort of stuff
Anyway. thanks again for the support
Pete

Did today mate. He didnt seem to keen
I asked if i could do 8-3 instead of 8-5
If i did 8-3 i could still get my lad from school and take him to his karate twice a week. Plus his hockey and still be able to get dinner done at a decent time. Also help with homework,do the washing up and sort the washing out as well as sticking a broom up my arse and sweeping up
Have to get up at 6:30 anyway so its a long old day.
Bloody lottery numbers. One more and I would have been sorted
