Interesting Evening.....
The plan was to go over on Friday eve and look at this 650 the guy was selling but it was being stored at his work but he said he was selling some others......
WhenI got to his house and stepped into the garage it was like going back in time and into my head from 1983. Parked up outside were 2 CB750s in great nick plus a 250 'Katana' which is what I really wanted to see, but disappointingly it was a GSX250 E twin which had Katana styling. The 650 that was at his work was in pretty ok condition if the photos were to be believed, plus he also had a 550 - black with yellow swing arm and callipers. Nice. A bit rough but an easy fixer upper. I was kinda interested but was too distracted to be bothered with his photos. You see, his garage also contained an immaculate Z1300, a CBX750, Fireblade, GSXR slabbie, GPZ900, a GS1000 American wire spoked single disc model, a CBX1000, 250LC, GPZ750, a semi complete 350LC, something else from the 80s which I can't remember and an original as hell S1 750 Katana, original pipes, the lot. not for sale. Bastard.
Great bloke, too many bikes and not enough time. Most of them were in great to brilliant condition, not messed around with, just honest original bikes. I'm going back later in the week to checkout the 550 and 650 Kats in the flesh and maybe hustle a deal....or hypnotise him and convince him to sell me the S1......

How did he want for the 250? Which by the way is included in our club and has been from day 1 because it was badged here in the UK as a katana from it's release.

I don't know what he was wanting for the 250, it wasn't in too bad nick. The seam edges of the tank were rusty and the alloy was getting that bloom of oxidisation plus it turned over on the button but wouldn't spark - coil or stator probably. If you want photos I can easily oblige. I had hoped it would be the GSX250S but no such luck
