650 front indicators...

Post by sparki » Sun Aug 04, 2013 6:07 pm

ok - i think im missing something here. headlight brackets have the indicator mount in em and if i put, what i thought was a normal indicator into the hole, it stares at the ceiling... lol - are the front different to the back or is the white plastic insert rotated about... 45 degrees.

what dya think?

If you rotate the indicator forward one flat on the insert it looks like it'll line up perfect,

Rotated one notch is 90 degrees.... that makes it point at the floor. Fine if I'm any good at wheelies but I'm not ;) - it's like 45 degrees different... Has me confused

Just an idea....

Would it work turning the mounts the other way up. Swapping sides if need be?

Swap sides was my first thought.

Nice one lads... That sorted that out then.... But as it isn't the std headlight it now means that the bottom of the ignition switch is in the way of the back of the light...ffs ;)

So if I change the ignition for so something with less depth, not too likely as its bolted to the bottom of the yoke.... May involve milling to scrape back a few mm her and there and a total pia...

Or ... Maybe I can file/ slot the indicator holes so I can use them the way around that they were before just 45 degrees further around... The rubber I think would cover the slots so this is a decent option...

Oh well... Least I know where we are eh ;)

Cheers again!
