Oil cooler question.

Post by fossie » Fri Jun 14, 2013 7:50 am

Not a question posed by myself but for member who's Internet is down.

Basically he has Rod Gibson old1260 that was com project.
He bought it with an 1100 efe engine in. But has now had the 1260 rebuilt by a trusted source.

His question is. The oil cooler on the 1260 was from the oil pressure switch with lines over the cam cover, however can he use the oil take offs on the sump/ engine block .

Thoughts.

Yeah without referring to the old build issues way back when it's difficult to say what was done but I doubt there was much done other than bolting it on.

So as John says, EFE oil filter cover and it's good to go.
