Does anyone recognise this exhaust fitted to my kat and also is it mot legal

Looks like a Harris pipe to me... And it should be

yep its a harris, their road and track pipes were the same the only difference being the baffle in the end, the race version was just a perforated pipe where the road version was a propper baffle. having said that the exhaust noise at mot time is pretty much upm to the testers discression.

As your bike is pre july1983 you could fit a scaffold bike as there is no BS standard for old bikes.

Though a little bit in the manual says testers disgression
