Powder Coating Fork Bottoms and Antidive Unit

Post by Uncle Bob » Thu Feb 28, 2013 12:53 pm

Hello,

I have my 1100SD forks apart and am getting the lowers powder coated black. I was going to just have the antidive unit cleaned to bare metal and leave like that. Were they bare metal originally or were they painted? I can't remember. Is that the best idea to keep the silver look of the antidive?

Cheers

Rob

For originality keep them silver, Not sure if they were painted or not though.

I have decided to clean them up manually and leave bare metal. The powder coating place was a bit iffy about them and dirt getting into them as I hadn't stripped them down (and don't intend to!). Cheers Rob
