Keep reading things about the charging system on the Kats, I know one of the wires goes through the headlamp switch from the generator to the reg/rec so it's best to run with the lights on to stop the coil overheating, but I've also heard you can just bypass this by connecting the two wires together, the wires being red and white and green and white. Just wanna check that this is a viable option as I dont run with the headlamp on.

The Green/white wire goes through the switch.
Anyway just join yellow wires (if aftermarket)from Alternator direct to yellow wires of reg/rec.
The joining only is when fitted superdream reg/rec.
why don't you run with headlamp on, ?

Its got a cover on it and I use some led running lights mounted underneath insteadfossie wrote:
