Re: Electrickery
battery was probably on its way out anyway, alarm will have kicked it in the nuts a few times, and the cold weather will have finally killed it off completely.

Re: Electrickery
I made a test today of the AC output and i didnt get anything near 70amps. Its all wired up as Suzukisan originally intended. How do it change it for the better?

Re: Electrickery
i see stuff like this on various forums from time to time. bike works ok, owner puts something new on it, bike doesnt work ok, owner then tries testing and checking and pointing at every other component on the bike except the new thing that they fitted which caused the problem in the first place. thing is, if it was ok and then you changed something, and then it wasnt ok, then do you really need me to suggest what you need to look at first? remote ignitions are pointless utterly useless tacky bling that belong with electric superchargers, neon lights that illuminate the road underneath the vehicle, exhaust flame kits and fake turbo dump valves. why would you want to start your bike when you arent sat on it?

Re: Electrickery
Because i was using the bike for dispatch and putting the key in and out over 20 times a day got a bit annoying. Having the bike running before i got on became quite handy not pointless.
As i said before i removed all to do with the alarm once the problem occurred but the problem is still there.

Re: Electrickery
The reg/rec is tested by electrex world and all good. The battery i tested using electrex worlds guidelines and seems to be holding charge fine. The gennie i tested and im not getting the results one would expect. Absolutely nothing close to 70amps across the 3 pairings of yellow wires. I will try different methods if its worth it or ring around and get a few more different opinions just for the hell of of it. I'd rather be certain of the problem before i go tearing things apart. Do it once and do it right as they say.
Seeing as im going to be changing the gennie and wiring then it might be a good candidate for a "how to" article.
I appreciate your patience guys and thanks for all the feedback.

Re: Electrickery
Seem to remember being talking about the resistance between the wires as well.
