Are all the exhaust headers getting warm as soon as you start the bike?.....................check this by wetting your finger and touching the down pipes as it warms up.......this way you'll see which cylinder is doing more or less work................

Look guys,

callyboy wrote that bikes starts perfect so all pots are working. Have you ever tried to start bike on three pots? Sure you did...and you know that in such a case the engine sounds crazy. So there is no need to touch headers:) Touching just help to find out how many spark plugs you will have to buy:)))
I'm more than sure that callyboy's problem in carbs only

household hand spray bottle, fill it with water when youve used its contents and spray onto the exhausts, if its running right, they will all sizzle equally!!

hows the ignition on the bike pete? have you checked that the auto advance retard hasnt stuck? this would have the effect of making the ignityion too advanced or too retarded and thus make it run lumpy and hot. take the r/h side cover off, with the engine off, grab the rotor in the centre of the ignition, and give it a twist, the rotor shuld turn about an 8th of a turn, and should snap back when you let go. if not, its stuck.

Bobster, I'll say many thanx to you if you explain me why should one touch headers if all pots are working? No fun and no joke but I really don't understand. If all of 4 pots work but engine doesn't work stable have a look on carbs...am I wrong?
