New guy saying hello

Post by lpoolkat » Thu Sep 22, 2011 7:04 pm

Well, joined up a few months ago, but been a bit slow introducing myself.
Currently have a pile of bits that will, over the next year or so, hopefully turn in to a fairly presentable Kat.
Had a couple of Kats over the last 30 years of riding. The last one being a yank kat1000 which I sold for buttons about 5 years ago
You know the scrip, skint, needed cash quick etc. Still regret that mind.

Anyway, the pile of bits so far.
Kat 750 frame, most of bodywork in various states.
Possibly going to use an ET tail unit though. Sorry to the purists.
Front end either B12 or K5 with radial callipers.
EFE motor. I know it's not original, but I think a Kat with one of these in looks the nuts.
Staying sterio at the back, possibly modified bandit arm , or if I feel brave, GSX14 arm.

My 1st bike was a mighty orange CB200 and on trainee wages did the job for a few years. Then a GS550 followed by various Suzukis, Kwaks, hd tractors and even an R1.

Current daily ride's a GSX1100et which is a bit sick at the moment and another tractor which doesn't like the rain.

Cheers and hello :D
