Has your bike got a full fairing or is it naked? if it has a full fairing a lot of the cycle parts are shared with the gsx600f that was imported as a uk model, if its naked it will probably have the same engine that is found in the 400 watercooled Katana, hope this helps.

From the model number you gave it is the GSX400F "Teapot" as it was lovingly called in the UK (well the 600 was and this the Japan market version of that. Interestingly it uses a water cooled engine whereas the GSX600F used an air/oil cooled engine. I think possibly it maybe more like the 400 Bandit engine than the 400 Katana (which is more akin to the GSX-R400 engine), but not 100% sure.
Get yourself a parts list if you can (though I looked and couldn't find one) and then once you have a part number you can search at Robinsons and find out what other bikes in the UK it was used on and then get. This is what I have done with my Jap market GSX400SSN Katana.
I did do a quick Google of GK74A carbs and found a set on Ebay (that had just finished) but they look externally the same as the 400 Katana / GSX-R400 though the jets will be different but you can get those once you read the numbers off them. If they are the same you'll want a set of Viton (ethanol resistant) O Rings - ask at http://www.litetek.co to see if they can do them or take a flyer on the Katana ones, they are cheap enough.
When searching Google try and use the GK74A model number or maybe GSX400FJ or GSX400FK as using GSX400F wll bring up the older 80's bike that we did have in the UK.

Cheers for the reply guys and sorry for the late reply. Been in the garage trying to get it fired up (carbs not pulling fuel into the head) Yeah noticed that if a use the gsx400f whem searching al get the earlier 80s bikes. Yes mines is the fully faired one the gsx600f frame with the gsxr400 engine from what av read online about it. Any manual av tried to find for it has been in japenese too lol. Its thisbone in the pic Ibhave

Give it trying with the carbs , it is pointless unless you get them ultrasonic cleaned. The old petrol will be varnish now and all the jets gummed up.

The 400 teapot was Japan market only so all manuals are Japanese , however the NZ and Australian market may have some.
