Hi Pete,
Is the pipe vacuum is the one connect from the admission to the tank ?

Sorry Arnaud, i lost a bit of that in translation :)

The vacuum pipe goes from the carb to the petrol tap. If you are messing about with the carbs with the tank off and using a reserve tank(plastic bottle and tube) then you have to blank the vacuum pipe off.

This is an old pic of my carbs before rebuild. The pipe on the bottom left with the rusty silver bolt is the vacuum pipe'

yes it does mick. but the other pipe (vacuum one that goes into fuel tap as well) has to be blanked off.

I've had that happen, made me very grateful that I always ride in staggered formationotherwise it would have taken me out

As Steve says small bolt (or screw) holds baffle in allowing fitment of more sporty race baffle ;) or indeed quite road one for MOT ;) :D :D

Yep, that's a race baffle & sounds bloody luvly.

My mate used to repack his with fibre glass from the loft, worked a treat for MOT time but soon burnt off

Thats a big hole !

I put one of these in mine and it just took the edge of the noise. Gone from a very deep growl to a more raspy sound :) Got it thru the mot and i thought i would leave it in. There are all sorts on ebay. I also put a bit of exhaust wadding in there as well.
