It's exactly the one under the rubber plug. Yes I have an ultrasound cleaner I ran it through a good few cycles hoping it would ease it out. Bank is already stripped
Right then. It might be cleaned through already, but still would be worth the vinegar treatment. A good precision engineers would be able to extract it. But at what cost?

32’s or 34’s?
I’ll have a look tomorrow to see what I have left over after sorting Skruffy Kat. Let you know of another possible option :)

Paul is that precision engineer and has already offered his services!

I also have spare carb bodies, which bike is it? The measurement should be the inside diameter of the engine side, also which carb (no1 is on left when sat on bike)

An update! I sent my carb body to Paul. He got it on Monday 26th, I think ,phoned me the same afternoon to tell me it was done and it was back by Wednesday. Absolutely stunning job! :D if I'd have carried on it would have definitely been a replacement carb. Thank you so much Paul. :D :D :D

paul, this is interesting, ive a similar problem on a carb from an early slide carb gs1000. ive got new pilot screws, but one of the old ones wont come free. can you remove it and if so how much? youre reasonably close to me too, im only in lancs. ive got the carbs off and stripped, so its just the single carb body. i was going to try drilling it out myself but i dont know how seized it really is.

Either drop it off or post it to me John and I'll sort it out for you. If you can put the new jet in the parcel it makes it easier for me. Oh by the way I don't charge club members, I've had way more than I could ever pay back so it's just my contribution :D
A pint of beer wouldn't go amiss though
I'll pm you my address and you can either post it or call in for a brew and a guided tour of chez Dunwoody 8-)
