Pop-Up oil lines

Post by outrage » Fri Dec 09, 2011 9:48 pm

The oil lines at the back of the top end which run from the head to the crankcase seem to be excreting some oil (along with a few other places). Which direction does the oil flow through these lines. I cant seem to find a diagram anywhere.

These are the pipes that feed the cams and jets so the flow is from bottom to top.

Just to let you know that Pirtek are looking at my pipes tomorrow and will give me a price for replacements. Will let you know prices and whatever else I can badger them for.

I aim to price up a replacement(original as possible) and a goochy braided set for both front and rear hose sets, any questions you would like me to ask them put them on here.

I had mine sorted by pirtec, they removed the original rubber hose and replaced it with braided, but kept all the original steel pipes & it as been fine since. Cost me nothing as I use them for hydraulic pipes at work, so it was done as a favour :)

Update, I took the Kat over to pirtek and they have replaced my hoses with braid also and as you pointed out on yours katfish they used the old banjo adapters as m8 was a problem to sort. Anyhoo pipes fitted and braised all for £30. It was a bit of a ball ache but if anyone wants some made up for £35 inc postage let me know but you have to supply with your hoses.
