Weeping Clutch Level Window
I seem to have a small amount of fluid weeping from the fluid level window on the clutch master cylinder of my pop-up. Does anyone have any experience of servicing this part? Can it be fixed?
Failing that, does anyone have one for sale? Part number 59800-08A10 I think.
Last resort, the Hayabusa lever looks pretty similar - anyone know if this part - or another Suzuki part - can be used instead?

Thanks!

Re: Weeping Clutch Level Window
Not had any experience of changing the level window, but as the part ends in 08A10 then this item ( the whole master cyl) was first used on the pop up.... So it could be specific . It would but easier to source another from another model unless complete originality is important to you .
Suzuki didn't do hydraulic inspection Windows for 80 s models but someone could have made them.

Kryten had his brake master cylinder refurbed by Past Parts who also did the window, so maybe they can do the popup?

The same clutch piston is used on the Bandit and Hairybush, so should fit .

Re: Weeping Clutch Level Window
Bought one off a chap on evil bay too who assured me it was good quality and it was satisfactory. Better than Chinese items which had tiny black dots in the plastic. If your interested I’ll dig out his contact details.
There are videos on YouTube of how to replace one: break and remove old one. Place o ring in the cylinder window then place sight glass in the hole so it just bites. Make sure it’s sitting squarely! I used a piece of wood at the back of the master cylinder and a piece of Aluminium resting on the sight glass. Place a G clamp across the two then tighten and you’ll see the glass start to seat. It is a bit of a fiddle but once you’ve done one successfully it’s not a problem doing more.

Yes please, to the guy's contact details - thanks!Berti44 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 7:26 pmFED1F268-6693-404A-B169-3FE8FB594986.jpegYou can repair it yourself. You can buy the sight glass off evil bay. Bought several from China and managed to find one decent one out the lot. They come with an O ring that sits at the back of the glass (plastic).
