650 carb mixture screws?
650 carb mixture screws?
Hi folks. Anyone know how many turns out the carb mixture screws should be on a 650gx?
Re: 650 carb mixture screws?
And what size main jets are standard? Should jets be changed when using aftermarket exhaust systems? Cheers.

Re: 650 carb mixture screws?
Workshop Manual says #110 (#112.5 for West Germany). The mixture screws are stated as Pre-Set but a quick Google looks like 2.5 seem to be the way to go.
Useful rebuild guide http://www.mtsac.edu/~cliff/storage/gs/ ... torial.pdf, see last page on tweaking the mixture screws once running.
Whether mains should be changed on aftermarket probably depends on the system used. I think the main stream pipes like Motad, probably not, but I think I'll have to for my 400 with Yoshi on it.

Re: 650 carb mixture screws?
1.5 turns out works fine but a touch lean 2.5 would be top range , really depends on how worn carbs are.
Set to 1.5 run the bike and adjust screws until even, then repeat.
