Have you played with the adjustment of the screen, maybe lower would have less turblance.

Not yet.. I’ll try that at the weekend..
It’s a very narrow screen, so that probably doesn’t help.

Also, open question to all who have these. Are they an upright riding position or are they putting the weight on your wrists like a sports bike?

I found it to have a bit of a ‘streetfigher’ stance. Sat upright but leaning over the front end.
I’ve lowered the rear by 40mm and raised the bars 20mm, so although the position hasn’t changed much, I now feel more comfortable ‘in’ the bike rather than perched on top.
In comparison to my popup, the new one has less weight on the wrists and more leg room.

my 2010 Z1000 had such limited fly screen choices, either super tall, like I couldn't afford a GoldWing so I did this, or too boy racer like they were marketing it to adult men that still play with Transformers.

I was looking at a pick online and it had this screen on it, I asked the dude, who was in England, and he gave me the info. It was a small maker in England and it took me like 3 months to get it. But I love it. Wish I could remember the maker, if I figure it out, ill post, just for the hell of it.

I have to say that I couldn't wait to sell mine..

I tried to love it and stuck up for it whenever I was out but it was completely devoid of character and to work on?? Wow, never had something so badly designed under the skin..

I have plenty of pics but just wait until you want to get to the air filter or change the exhaust.. basically the whole bike needs to come apart.

Not sad to see it go and I sold it to the trade with a full system and tons of extras for £6800.. currently advertised for £7995..

Hi Chris
The Kat at low speeds is not that great on the wrists (same as my old kat). I have bought risers to see if that will make a difference. Also the throttle is very on off at low speeds, especially over speed humps. The tiger is just comfortable at any speed.

Hi Sam, is that the SHAD luggage system you are using? I was thinking to get it, but worried it will spoil the cool look of the Katana when the panniers are off? . Is the frame unsightly when the panniers are off or does it blend well with the look of the bike? Cheers

It is indeed Shad.
At the time it was the only one available here in Spain.

If you get the smaller E21 boxes, like mine, you need an extra spacer to move them off the bodywork. I think it’s only an extra 5 or 6mm.
Shad says they’re not compatible, but they are.
The bigger boxes fit without extra work.
There’s only 3 bolts to remove each side, leaving the middle section, if you only use the boxes occasionally.
I just leave them on as I have no car, so need them for the supermarket, and have very limited storage space in my apartment.

Thanks for the photos Sam. Really appreciate it. Looks good. Pretty sleek design. I will probably go for the large panniers so that I can put my helmet in there, as I will not be attaching a top box. Cheers
