You know if you bait a dealer tech and he is smart enough to know he is being baited, you won't get his/her best work?

Same deal as complaining about your food in a restaurant (remember those?)
True ,but finding a smart "tech'" is becoming difficult. When did mechanics become techs?
Give me a grumpy old mechanic any day they're usually brutally honest I can live with that .
Best mechanic that I knew was the Late Phil Allen, He worked on my Katana at Colin Gregory motorcycles then at his own shop on Shearing Hill .No bulshit from him, take it or leave it he didn't care.
Oh how times change.

They became techs when bikes became horrendously complicated and difficult to fix. Even more difficult to get back together without being an origami master.

Although I do love those plastic rivet thingies they use on the new Kat.
There are many body parts, but they assemble very easily.

I never liked working on my 2010 Z1000, mechanic (tech) did everything, but working on my Kat 1000 is so fun, at least disassembling it is super fun. There is so much room in there.
82 Katana 1000 (work in progress, but she will be beautiful she has a dedicated sugar daddy)
2010 Z1000 (50k miles, I think that is like 60 Kilometer's or so)
