Arrgghh! I was just about put off (due to really need to see and that isn't going to happen with this one) and now I'm thinking well maybe again...

I'll have to read up; tie bars(?) 250 bits etc. I'll still email the dealer and see what they say (it's been there a couple of months at least - they might even be open to offers). There is the cost of getting it back as well. In northern Holland somewhere.

Never had one in the 80's as a student mainly, so cheap hacks for me and when I got a job I got my first 650 Katana.

the first lcs had problems with stress fractures of the downpipes due to high frequency vibrations. this was rectified with rubber bushed tie bars under the motor. these were often removed and not refitted in the good old days. get a cheap flight and ride it back.

Thanks for info on the tie bars. I had looked at van hiring and ferry from Harwich to Holland but that ferry is quite expensive. Chas Mortimer was about £360 door to door. I'll cross that bridge if I get that far.

re collecting from Holland. hull to rotterdam is quite cheap considering the location in Holland you need to get to.

We have the club trailer up here you can borrow that and keep it at yours until needed again.
