I thought from 83 on they had the blacked out motor and forks.
82 Katana 1000 (work in progress, but she will be beautiful she has a dedicated sugar daddy)
2010 Z1000 (50k miles, I think that is like 60 Kilometer's or so)

It's not an 83 model , wheels wrong , foot pegs etc , but if it's an import , DVLA have issued it on a dating letter, or it may have been older stock held by a dealer until someone finally bought it.
I had a UK 650 on a B plate which is 84-5 ...but it was a GX model 81-82 .

When looking at a bike over 35 years old I don't think the original registered date is really that important unless of course it nearly 40 years on the paperwork ....which some of ours are getting to be ....freebie time!

We have a W reg 1100 in Hull...a 650 in Manchester...all registered before they were sold to any market ! :ugeek: :o :)
