Well what a rigmarole it was with my bike. After owning it for 6 years I decided to get the money together and finally get it dialled in.
So off it went to Hammer and Tongues performance in Warrington.
First time it was there, after a few weeks I got a phone call with some bad news. It wasn't making any decent power. So a new Marving race black pipe was ordered to solve the problem. 2 months of waiting and it eventually turned up.
So off it went again.
After a few more weeks I got the call saying its done.
It would seem that somebody had decided to do a bit of DIY carb tuning, resulting in them having to be sent of to a machine shop to be plugged and re-drilled. And even after being sorted and set up they aren't 100% with them dumping fuel at 5% throttle. Resulting in it being a little off at low throttle. But the improvements throughout the rest of the range is brilliant.
The final results are a very healthy 74.47BHP and 43.95 torques at the rear wheel. So crank figures would be much higher. Considering that its nearly 31 year old I am really happy with those figures.
Not knowing anyone else who has had their bike done I don't know how good these figures are.
