2006 le-jog and all that

Post by johnr » Sun May 03, 2015 8:50 pm

next year is a decade since the club did the john o groats to lands end run! quite an incredible realisation that it was a decade ago. anyhow, just as an idea, and as we have almost a whole year to think about it, anyone fancy doing it all again just for the hell of it, its a heck of a road trip that will take a good 4 days (wherever you live, its a day to get there, two days to get down and a day to get home) it could be done quicked but from memory we didnt hang about last time and yet just pulled up at lands end at dusk.
it was a great trip and i have some fab memories, you can do the whole trip, or just join in foa the part that goes nearest to where you live.
so, just out of interest, who fancies it? or is it just me!

We did discuss doing an east to west trip but not until the year after due to it being a ek year next year. For us it depends on when it happens as we can't do it during school term time.

East to west sounds good as I'm half way there already :-) Ness point (most Easterly point at Lowestoft) is not much to look at though). Might consider JOG to LE though there is no part of that, that comes near me unless you either get lost or have a very cheap GPS.

May half term could be an option for school holidays as assume EK will be end of July or August.

If I'm able to ride by then I'd have a go at some point. I missed out on the last one as I was off the road following an op.
Just need to get my hands working or hopefully I should have Mark "Fastasfowey"'s modified 400 with twist grip clutch by then

Dunnet :D

to Lizard http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lizard_Point,_Cornwall" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

North most point to South most point?

John would you do it on a Katana again? Think I've still got oil embedded in me since last time.

East West Lowestoft to St David's is only 400 odd miles.
