pop up raffle tickets
Few people on Practical Sportsbikes want to know about buying tickets. Is there a email address or something?

Re: pop up raffle tickets
Well there you go then can't be arsed so don't want to be in with a chance.
everyone has to do the same and indeed around 25 people from PS have bought tickets.
We try to keep our pay pal address not on open channel so we have a chance of knowing who has it?
People don't attach info like address tel etc or the fact the payment is for tickets., Aswell as it would mean checking the paypal account everyday and trying to work out if the payment was for membership . tickets. regalia
Why leave it 'till a few days before the draw.?
would you publish your bank info on the www.?

Re: pop up raffle tickets
If its a couple of clicks you have more chance of people buying tickets Fossie.
I give my account details out almost every week. My paypal addy is seen by loads of peeps when i want something paid for quick. Never had a problem in 7 years.
Just saying.......want to sell as many tickets as possible in the last few days.

Re: pop up raffle tickets
The main point Pete was the bit about people not supplying information when sending PayPal.
For instance last week some one here asked for tickets using his forum name, 3 payments paid at same time 1 for membership 1 for t shirt, 1for tickets. Non of the payment made reference to forum name, he signed his pm with 1 name but his PayPal account name was another.
Now we sorted it out but it took cross referencing and we were able to contact him to confirm,
If people just sent money to the PayPal address in the hope that someone checks it everyday, and has time to chase up payments not recognised that could be for any of the 3 services above , with out knowing who they are. The end result is a non effective transaction which leads to complaints after the draw is done.
As for displaying your PayPal address , that is your prerogative , we however are looking after funds for many many people and it is our duty do the best we can to avoid problems.
Overall this is why the system we set up Was set up so.
FFS, We had a postal system which was very well used, other people managed to send a message.
If people can't arsed to follow a simple system , they really didn't want to enter,
If you think I'm so out of touch in my thinking ,which may well be the case, November isn't far off now!

Re: pop up raffle tickets
What time and what day is the draw being made...........I have some raffle ticket stubs that I sold down at Donnington on the ACS stand ( IBO Mal Sampson) but I wont be there til Fri Eve.
Surely the draw should be done at the latest possible date at EK? On some of the flyers I have seen it says the 15th some the 16th...........But surely to maximise ticket sales would it not be better to have it on the Sunday?
